A dental consultation is an initial meeting between a patient and a dentist to discuss the patient's oral health, concerns, and treatment options. The consultation may be a routine check up, an emergency consultation or even a cosmetic consultation. A thorough intra oral examination is done, along with accompanying x-rays to help the dentist come up with a treatment plan tailored to the patients concerns.
